Mirza Ghasemi

Mirza ghasemi. Sounds like a human's name right? I know a malay boy's name Mirza, while Ghasemi is a Persian family name. Hehe. But i havent know anybody with name mirza ghasemi yet. He/she might be delicious. :p

Back to the dish, this is one if the pish ghaza (appetizer or side dish) that i really like. Previously i always ordered mirza ghasemi from a persian restaurant nearby, but unfortunately the taste of mirza ghasemi there is not as tasty as before. I also ate mirza ghasemi at naab restaurant at kl but the way they served it was different as they did not mix egg in the mixture but top it with fried egg. For me, i prefer the one that mix everything together. So yummy, with lots of garlics. Make sure if you make it at home, open your windows to let the air circulate well. If not, you'll smell like a garlic the whole day. :)

Lets check out the recipe!

Ingredients:
2 medium eggplant, grilled, peel skin and chopped
7 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tspn tomato paste
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 tspn turmeric
Salt and pepper
Cooking oil

Methods:
1. Heat some oil, fry garlic, add some turmeric, add chopped eggplant, cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato paste
3. Cook and stir continuously for 10 minutes
4. Pour the egg, sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste, stir gradually
5. Cook for another 5 minutes, done.
6. Serve with noon lavash

Nasi goreng cina - Chinese fried rice

For me, nasi goreng cina is the most easiest nasi goreng recipe. Not too many ingredients and no need to pound ingredients like nasi goreng kampung. Cook this when you are lazy. I guarantee the taste and satisfaction. But make sure you use fresh vegetables and shrimp and chicken. Check out the recipe:

Ingredients:
- 3 cups rice, make sure to cool it down and separated grains. Persian way to cook rice is very good to get separated grains, but omit the oil and salt.
- 5 garlic cloves, mince
- chicken cuts, i used breast
- xl size shrimps, remove the skin (or shell?)
- 1 egg, slightly beat
- vegetables, this time i used diced carrot and spinach
- some cooking oil
- some seasoning, i used chicken powder and salt

Methods:
1. Fry some oil, stir in garlic. When the aroma arise, add in chicken, cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add in egg, when the egg cooked, add in shrimp. Once the shrimp turn to red color, add in the veges.
3. Season with salt and chicken powder.
4. Add in rice. Stir gradually until all the ingredients well coated to the rice.
5. Done!! Easy right? The secret to have a nice nasi goreng is to cook it fast with high heat. The measurement of ingredients is up to your liking.

Ps: i received repeat order for this tonight. Hehe.

Weekend with the Kids

This is the routine. Saturday and Sunday my house will turned out to be kindergarten or I might change it to secondary school instead coz my nieces and nephews are all grown up. hehe. School without teacher of coz only a headmister-maksu-me.

Bff always tease me saying that I always 'bache bazi' (play with kids). I kind of used to it because I grew up with them. Even now in the 28th year I still being accompany by them every moment. I dont know how can I face the reality when I married later, that I have to leave them behind, without their annoying disturbance. :)

So this weekend (yesterday) was my nephew Haziq 14th birthday. But he did not want to be celebrated (you know kind of a boy who started his puberty, always shy and sulk). So his sister, Putri came front to take the chance to being photographed.

*I dont know why if I upload photo through blogger in ipad the photo couldnt be centered. :(
Putri, my sis and foods. I cooked yee mee too.

Sorry put, maksu had to put this photo bcoz it is fun. Like ghost.haha

Then, they did what teenagers now doing, camwhoring and poyo-ing

Thenext day, normal activity when headmister said. No TV, no computer, no ipad, no phone. haha. pity

Then in the evening, after thousands of request from them since morning, I took them to Pantai Rambah, around 8km from my house. We enjoyed our time together, watching sunset. And before maghrib, I sent them to their house respectively. That was my weekend with them.

I am glad because I have the chance to share my joys with them. When my other friends busying their lives with their children, me too have kids to cheerish my life. Insyallah I will always be there for them, now and forever.

My Passion..Sigh

Academic is really not my passion. I hate sitting and reading academic materials which I think I couldnt broaden my mind with this kind of thing. It's not that I cant study, but most of the times it wont last longer. I will attracted to do other things. And in my opinion it is because I dont have passion in this job. Frankly speaking I was not sincere when I started my PhD. Just because it's hard to get good job and I got scholarship I continue my study. If these 2 things didnt happened to me, I might not be sitting now in front of computer doing silly thing - study.

If UTM allows me to terminate my study without paying back the scholarship, I've done that!

So what is my passion? Let me list down what are things that I dont wana do. Teaching, marketing or anything related to giving oral explanation. I hate to think. I love things that comes naturally. I want to involve with NGO association. I love cooking. I love non-high-level-job. I love to have small business.

It's my today's ramble. I still dont know what I want to be. I dont wana be lecturer but what else can I be after getting my PhD? Sigh...........................

Post Election Rambling

Hello. Hi. 5th May was Malaysia election day. This is my second time voting. Went to the poll station with my sis and bro around 12pm. Not many people as my place is in rural area so there are not many voters there. For DUN it wass BN vs PAS while for parliament BN vs DAP. What I crossed? Secret lah of course :P

Around 1250 midnight they conformed that government won more than half of the chairs, but less than previous election. It was expected to be like that. And for some reasons this time election is the worst phenomenon in my country. In social media especially people saying about the misbehaved of SPR (organization that handle the election) process. Regarding "pengundi hantu" (illegal voters) from bangla, about the sudden blackout during the process of counting votes and so many more. The opposition had tried so hard to show that the election was badly managed so that government still ruling the country. At the same time also, the other side saying that all these rumors were being planned by opposition to gather people's attention to change the government. At the time I am writing this, I heard that Anwar Ibrahim (opposition leader) is going to file petition to the court for the matter. Besides I heard that people with pea mind want to get help from the white house. One of the main contributor to the fight is that about discrimination between different races in Malaysia. Malay and Chinese particularly. It's like a time bomb that can explode anytime. True what bff said to me 1 time, if Malay and Chinese fight each other, Malaysia will 'begar' (riot). I just hope the current misunderstanding can be solve quickly. People unite regardless of race or nation. The new government need to prove Malaysian what they can do, not just spending money on gaining people attention without solving the problem from the bottomline.

Some pictures from the election scene:

Campaign - notes they delivered to home

The controversial blue ink for those who voted.

Random at home. Now you know which one i've crossed :)

The night before election, we had family gathering which means foods. I'll share another time ok.
Khoda Hafez!

28th Birthday

*delayed post

25th April i\was my birthday. It's my 28th year. How can I describe myself? I am a woman not a girl anymore. I don't know why I have this feeling, but my mind was saying that when I am entering the 28 years. Well it's better, at least I am stepping on the right ground. I mean I accept the reality that the number has grow bigger, and I should not act like a child anymore. Nowadays I prefer to call salesgirls or waitress "adik"(lil' sister) rather than "kakak"(big sister). Even sometimes people doesnt believe than I am 28. Well..thanks to collagen and "single" status. haha :-P

Even I am getting older, I enjoyed my birth day. Thanks to facebook because without that, I wont be receiving many wishes by friends. Received some presents from myself (oh yeah, I reward myself for my birthday. Just in case nobody give me present lol!), sis and of course mr. boyfriend. Bff gave me mini ipad as I told him many times I love to have one. Well that is the trick. haha.

All in all, this is me on my 28th year of living. I hope I'll have a better life and achievement from this point onwards. Thanks for those who wished and prayed for me on my birthday. Love you all.

I chose mantou and magnae for my birthday ootd
